Lifestart Foundation is a grassroots, not-for-profit charity that helps disadvantaged Vietnamese people and their families to become self-sufficient. Founded in 2000 by Australian Karen Leonard and supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, the Foundation applies a holistic approach to helping those in need through proven working programs and initiatives which are designed to effect a generational change.

Kianh Foundation works in Dien Ban, Central Vietnam, which has one of the highest levels of disability in the country. It runs a day centre for children in the district that provides special education, physiotherapy, life-skills training and basic healthcare. One of the main aims of the centre is to prevent children with disability being placed into institutional care because of a lack of services and support.
Volunteer Vietnam seeks to connect with and assist local people in need in Vietnam. They do this by placing volunteers to help orphanages, social support centers and schools in central Vietnam. They focus on helping vulnerable children, elderly people and young adults.

CHILDREN’S HOPE IN ACTION
Children’s Hope in Action is a non-government organisation providing a wide range of services for disadvantaged children in central Vietnam. Based in Hoi An, they provide a range of services for children in the wider Quang Nam province where many families are barely surviving on less than three dollars per day.

REACH is a local non-government and non-profit organisation which specializes in providing vocational training, career advice and job placement services for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth. They serve the most vulnerable youth who are in need of accessible, affordable skills training by targetting disadvantaged young people living in the cities and neighbouring provinces of Hanoi, Hue and Danang.
