Friends Without a Border believe every child has the right to a healthy and loving life. They accomplish this by providing high-quality and compassionate medical care to the children of Southeast Asia; by creating community health education programs; and by training local healthcare professionals. In 2015 they established the Lao Friends Hospital for Children in Luang Prabang.  LFHC is the first full-service pediatric hospital in northern Laos.
