PHAUNG DAW OO MONASTIC EDUCATION HIGH SCHOOL
Phaung Daw Oo opened this school as a model of grass roots development to offer education to poor children denied access to even the most basic education services. It is a non-government, self-reliance school specifically targeting children from either a rural or urban family. They serve orphans, ethnic, abused, neglected, abandoned and poverty-stricken children and those who cannot attend government schools for various reasons.
INTERNATIONAL BUDDHIST EDUCATION CENTRE
International Buddhist Education Centre provides a venue for children who cannot attend government schools. They support and teach them without taking any tuition fees. They strive to improve the education standards of poor children and create work opportunities for them, especially in the areas of foreign languages (particularly English) and computer skills.
Cadip – Canadian Alliance for Development Initiatives and Projects is a non-profit Canadian organization. It has no religious or political affiliation. Through various charity and volunteer initiatives, Cadip promotes peace, cooperation, tolerance and understanding in multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and international surroundings. The organization also promotes patterns and examples of civil activities focused on serving others, on building social ties and strengthening communities, and on supporting civil society development.
